REO SPEEDWAGON AND JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS

REO Speedwagon, formed in 1967, has been a constant fixture in the rock music scene. Fronted by the charismatic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, the band’s relentless dedication to music has led them to produce multiple platinum albums and radio hits. Their iconic album “Hi Infidelity,” released in 1980, contained massive hit singles such as “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.” The album spent 15 weeks at the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.

Joan Jett, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has consistently proven her tenacity and talent throughout her long-standing career. Together with her band the Blackhearts, she has achieved eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including timeless hits like “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover.” Jett has also made significant contributions as a producer, overseeing seminal albums by Bikini Kill and the Germs’ LA punk masterpiece ‘GI.’

Together with her long-time producer and music partner, Kenny Laguna, Jett co-founded Blackheart Records, a thriving entertainment company that produces music, film, and television and continues to champion emerging bands. Jett’s life and career were featured in the critically acclaimed documentary ‘Bad Reputation,’ which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
